Our Engagement Ring from Diamond Fire - Specs

At last, I have an hour to write another blog post today. This post is in response to the people who have asked me about the specifications of my engagement ring. Mentioned on my 1st post, we got a custom style diamond ring from Diamond Fire Manila.

One reason that made us book Diamond Fire Manila is the price. They offered us the most affordable deal. Apart from that, madaling kausap si Cherry Veroja, our contact from Diamond Fire Manila. I believe she is the owner or daughter of the owners (not really sure).

This was the original design I gave Cherry. I'm a big fan of simplicity.

Pero syempre hindi ganyan kalaki ang diamond nung akin ha. :) Anyway, after we agreed on the price and the specs, we visited Diamond Fire Manila's shop in Ongpin - 507 Ronquillo St. Sta. Cruz, Manila 1003. We paid 50% down payment and in less than 10 days, our engagement ring was ready for pick up!

• 18K Yellow Gold
• Diamond: 0.30 ct
• Clarity: VVS2
• Color: H
• Ring Size: 7. 3/4
• 2mm band

This is the exact ring specification that I wanted. Before we even booked Diamond Fire Manila, we scouted on jewelry shops in malls & wedding rings suppliers on bridal fairs and it was really pricey! Ranging from 65K to 85K.

We got this custom ring for less than 45K. I can't give out the exact price since I don't want to put Cherry in a position where she can't quote differently (since raw materials and labor price may change). People can also find Diamond Fire Manila on bridal fairs and they're also a feature supplier on W@W Directory. But I'm not sure if their price will vary if you book them on bridal fairs or through Sulit.com.ph.

We're Engaged!

Well, this is a late post obviously. I just started out our wedding blog today - Sunday morning when I had 12 hours of sleep (rarely happens). Yay! I finally had the time to set this up and write about our journey to happily ever after. Congratulations to me!

Aaron and I have talked about marriage even before. I already knew he's the one and I'm sure that the feeling was mutual. :) Even our family and relatives knew that this would happen, they just didn't know when. We just wanted to make our engagement official.

We've been together for almost 7 years already. He was only 17 when he became my boyfriend and I was 19. Almost 2 years ang tanda ko sa kanya.. :) Cradle-snatcher... hahaha!!!

Anyway, as weird and unusual as it may sound,  I wanted to be involved in choosing the engagement ring. This is because I love jewelries and he knows nothing about it. He told me that he wanted to make the proposal fussy which many girls would want but I told him not to spend money on it instead buy me an expensive ring! :)

So that's what we did.

We searched for engagement ring suppliers on W@W, Sulit.com.ph, etc trying to find the best deal. I didn't want us to buy from the mall as the price would definitely be 50%-70% higher.

Lucky us, we found Diamond Fire Manila.

We got our engagement ring from them. (Will post a separate post about it soon). After a few emails with Cherry, we then went to their shop in Ongpin to pay for the down payment. The ring was ready for pick up in just less than 10 days. It looks amazing! Nakita ko pa lang yung ring, kinikilig nako! hahaha!!!

I was so happy! Panay nga ang tingin at check ko sa diamond eh.. baka mawala. This has happened to my sister before kaya medyo praning ako.. hahaha!!! I will post about the ring specifications later. Gotta go! Thanks for reading..
